The Vertex Portal is a secure web app that connects everyone involved in a survey job: installers who book surveys, Vertex staff who schedule and quality-check them, and the design team who deliver the final pack. It’s one place to book jobs, see where each job is in the pipeline, and get your PDF and photos when they’re ready.
In short: installers submit jobs here; Vertex staff link surveys, generate PDFs, and publish packs; installers (and customers) get deliverables through the portal.
Every booking moves through: Booked → Scheduled → Survey → Quality check → Design → Ready → Delivered. Your main job is to link surveys, generate PDFs, publish to installer, and (if QC is on) score bookings in QC.
Bookings — Your main workspace. Open a booking to link survey record (“Find survey” or paste record ID), generate PDF, and publish to installer so the installer can download.
Link survey — Connects the survey record to the portal booking so the PDF can be generated.
Generate PDF — Turns linked survey data into the branded installer pack. Run after linking.
Publish to installer — Makes the PDF and photos visible and downloadable to the installer. Until you publish, the deliverable is internal only.
QC — Optional quality-check workflow: score and approve bookings before they move to design.
Datasheets — Upload, review, publish or reject product datasheet PDFs. Installers can view published ones and use Pack Navigator.
Pack Navigator — Ask questions in natural language and get answers from published datasheets.
Calendar — View and manage survey slots and assignments (if enabled).
Your role: Day-to-day delivery. You work in Bookings, QC, and Datasheets. You can link surveys, generate PDFs, publish to installer, and send customer emails. You don’t manage installer orgs or system settings—that’s Admin.
What you’ll use most: Bookings — Open a booking → ensure survey is linked (“Find survey” or paste record ID if needed) → Generate PDF → Publish to installer. Optionally send customer email. QC — If enabled, use the QC queue to score and approve (or send back) bookings. Datasheets — Upload, review, Publish or Reject. Calendar — If enabled, see and manage survey slots. Pack Navigator — If enabled, ask questions against published datasheets.
Typical flow: Deliver a survey to installer: Bookings → open booking → Link survey (if missing) → Generate PDF → Publish to installer. For QC: QC → pick booking → score/notes → save. For datasheets: Datasheets → Upload or review → Publish.
