Portal user guidebook
The Vertex Portal is a secure web app that connects everyone involved in a survey job: installers who book surveys, Vertex staff who schedule and quality-check them, and the design team who deliver the final pack. It’s one place to book jobs, see where each job is in the pipeline, and get your PDF and photos when they’re ready.
In short: installers submit jobs here; Vertex staff link surveys, generate PDFs, and publish packs; installers (and customers) get deliverables through the portal.
Every booking moves through: Booked → Scheduled → Survey → Quality check → Design → Ready → Delivered. You’ll see these stages on each of your org’s jobs. You can book and download; Vertex staff do the scheduling, linking, QC, PDF generation, and “publish to installer” step. You only see and download once Vertex have published.
Installer (home) — Book a survey: postcode, job type, customer details. See your org’s bookings and status.
Bookings — Only your org’s. Open a booking → when status is Ready and Vertex have published, use “Download PDF” and “Download photos ZIP”. You can also “Read PDF in portal” to view without downloading.
Download PDF / Download photos ZIP — Once Vertex have published the deliverable, you can download the branded PDF and a ZIP of survey photos. Only installer_master and installer_design can download; installer_rep cannot (by design).
Pack Navigator — If enabled, ask questions in natural language and get answers from published datasheets.
Tickets — Create a ticket if something’s wrong (e.g. pack not available, wrong address). Vertex staff can view and respond.
Org users — Invite and remove users (installer_rep, installer_design). Set roles so the right people can book (reps) and download (design/master).
Your role: Organisation admin for your installer company. You can book surveys, see all your org’s bookings, download published PDFs and photos, manage org users (invite installer_rep, installer_design), and raise tickets. You cannot publish to installer or generate PDFs—Vertex staff do that.
Typical flow: Book a survey from Installer home → track status in Bookings → when the job shows Ready and you see Download buttons, download the PDF and photos ZIP. If you can’t download, check INSTALLER_DOWNLOAD_FLOW—usually Vertex haven’t published yet, or the user is installer_rep (no download).
