What we confirm before booking
We confirm the survey type, property location, expected scope, travel position, likely lead time and final price before the booking is agreed. If the information supplied changes the scope, we explain the effect before proceeding.
On the survey visit
The surveyor introduces themselves, confirms the requested scope and records the accessible evidence needed for that service. Depending on the survey, this can include photographs, room and building measurements, floor plans, plant and cylinder locations, proposed routes, electrical details, roof or external observations, and any limitations found on site.
We need safe access to the agreed areas. Locked rooms, unsafe lofts, concealed services, poor weather or information held by another party can limit what is recorded. The report states material limitations so the next team knows what still needs confirming.
Reports and delivery
We organise the evidence for the installer, designer or homeowner who needs to act on it. The booking confirmation sets the agreed deliverables. Where included, EPC evidence is normally processed the next morning and agreed heat-loss work is normally prepared the next working day. Unusual properties, missing inputs or additional checks can take longer, and we will explain any material delay.
Quality checks and corrections
Survey records pass through quality checks before or during report production. If you spot a factual error, send the job reference and the page or item concerned to info@vertex-surveys.co.uk. We review correction requests against the survey evidence and booking scope.
Responsibilities after the survey
A Vertex survey provides site evidence for the next decision. Final system design, equipment selection, structural assessment, electrical design, quotations and installation approval remain with the appropriately competent party unless the booking explicitly says otherwise.
