Clear access to key areas
Loft hatch, meter location, boiler/plant area, and anything the installer will need to plan routing.
What actually helps on survey day: easy access, a few documents ready, and no surprises.
This page is anonymised and practical. It is here to show what makes the visit run smoothly.
We photograph relevant documents on the day (for RdSAP audit evidence) — so if you have them, have them ready during the visit.
No need to overthink it. Just make the key areas and any useful paperwork easy to reach.
Loft hatch, meter location, boiler/plant area, and anything the installer will need to plan routing.
EPCs, insulation proof, window certificates/specs, building regs sign‑offs (where relevant), and recent energy bills (optional).
We don’t publish identifiable photos without consent. The report is for your job and your installer.
After the visit, the useful thing is knowing when each output lands.
Your survey report + organised photos are available in the portal immediately upon completion of the visit.
If an EPC is included, it’s delivered by next morning.
If a calculation is required, it’s delivered next day.
A smooth survey day depends on simple preparation: access to meters, loft hatch, plant space, paperwork, and the areas the installer needs to understand. That preparation helps the surveyor spend time on evidence rather than waiting for basic access.
Documents, access notes, and clear site photos help the installer later. EPC evidence, insulation proof, cylinder space, electrical equipment, and route constraints are all easier to review when captured during the visit.
Fast portal delivery matters because the office and design team can act while the customer, surveyor, and installer still remember the job clearly. That reduces the chance of avoidable back-and-forth later and keeps the next action tied to the actual visit.
