Requirements guide

Installer survey requirements

If the survey report is clear, quoting and design both move faster. This is the baseline it needs to hit.

Minimum evidence for a clear report

  • Room-level layout and heat-loss relevant context.
  • Electrical supply, consumer unit, and incoming service evidence.
  • Cylinder location, fit envelope and clearance context where relevant.
  • ASHP siting and route constraints captured clearly.
  • Photo evidence grouped by job decision, not upload order.

Why clear requirements speed jobs up

Less time searching

People are not digging through a long PDF to find the one photo that matters.

Faster quoting

Clear evidence means first-pass commercial and design decisions happen sooner.

Fewer redesign questions

Assumptions are replaced with recorded evidence and labelled sections.

Low-friction first step

No lock-in contracts. Try one live job first. Quote confirmed before booking.

Good requirements reduce internal handover work

A survey is only useful if the next person can act on it. The report should let office staff check scope, designers review constraints and installers understand the practical risks without rebuilding the job history from scattered notes.
