Send the postcode, roof type and required solar, battery or electrical scope. We confirm coverage, lead time and price before the visit is booked.
02 · Capture
Complete the site visit
The surveyor measures the roof and records shading, access, the electrical supply and possible inverter positions and cable routes. Arrange access to the meter, consumer unit and proposed equipment locations. Loft and battery checks are included where booked and safely accessible; a solar-only visit does not normally need every room measured.
03 · Check
Review before issue
Automated checks flag missing or inconsistent entries for review. The completed report is then issued through the portal for the installer team.
Site evidence
A roof photograph is not a complete survey
The designer also needs measurements, roof direction, shading, obstructions, access and the cable route back to the electrical supply. These details stay together in the report so the photographs can be checked against the site notes.
This east-facing roof comes from a completed solar survey on 14 October 2026. The original photograph records the roof edges and the rooflight offsets, rather than treating the available area as an empty rectangle.

A completed solar-only survey recorded four roof faces and three equipment-location options. The garage option had an existing conduit, but its exit at the house could not be confirmed. That question stayed visible alongside the roof measurements for the installer to review.

The standard survey records visible roof construction, condition and access evidence to the agreed scope. Formal structural calculations or an engineer's assessment must be commissioned separately where required.
Can battery storage be included?
Yes. Battery location, access and relevant electrical context can be added to the booking. Confirm the required storage scope when requesting the price.
