- Icon-based sections so you can jump straight to what matters
- Consistent order and labeling across packs
- Evidence placed next to the decision — not buried in notes
Welcome — evidence-led packs for ASHP, solar PV, battery and heat loss, structured for survey → design → install.
Coverage and timelines are confirmed when you book.
Evidence-led site capture, engineered for the handoff: survey → design → install. The difference isn’t “more pages” — it’s navigation, structure, and measurable inputs that make decisions easy to justify.
We’re building a client portal and data integrations so installers can book, track, and hand over packs with less admin — and keep one source of truth from booking to install.
Preview the structure below, then view a sample pack to see the format.
Sample packs are anonymised to protect client privacy. Client-identifiable reports and photos are not published without consent.
Structured outputs designed for installer workflows.
Site survey capture for ASHP planning: unit siting, access constraints, routing notes, and evidence photos compiled into a structured pack.
Roof and electrical survey capture for PV design inputs, including roof context, measurements, obstructions and shading notes.
Battery storage surveys capturing location constraints, electrical compatibility, and installation notes for ESS planning.
Heat loss calculations produced to the agreed scope.
Solar PV system design including roof & panel layout, string configuration, inverter/battery siting recommendations, schematics, and kit lists.
Scope and deliverables are confirmed when you book.
Evidence-led packs, designed to reduce back-and-forth between survey, design, and install—and to make it easier for installers to explain decisions clearly to the homeowner. Examples are anonymised to show layout and level of detail.
A survey pack isn't a report. It's the thread that connects site → design → install → sign-off.
If the structure doesn't match installer workflows, the pack gets filed instead of used. Questions go unanswered. Photos get requested again. Install dates slip.
Vertex Surveys packs are designed around one question: what does the next person in the chain need to move forward without friction?
That's why sections follow a fixed order. Why constraints are summarized up front. Why photos are grouped by category, not chronology. The structure is invisible infrastructure—installers shouldn't think about the pack, they should just open it and know what to do next.
Built from experience, not theory.
Vertex Renewable Energy Surveys was built from experience, not theory. My career in renewables started on site, surveying real homes with real constraints. During my time in the field, one problem kept showing up again and again: the surveys weren’t good enough.
Too often they were unclear, poorly structured, and hard to use. Installers were left asking questions that should already have been answered. Designers were reworking data that should have been reliable the first time. Customers were handed reports they couldn’t understand or trust.
I didn’t want to accept that as “normal”. Over time, my focus shifted from collecting data to improving how that data was structured, presented, and used. I began refining survey layouts, improving photo workflows, and rethinking how information should move from survey to design to install.
Eventually, that thinking became Vertex Surveys. Every survey is designed to remove friction, reduce uncertainty, and make the installer’s job easier.
This isn’t about volume or shortcuts. It’s about doing the fundamentals properly and presenting them to a standard that reflects their importance. Vertex Surveys exists to raise the bar for what a renewable energy survey should be.
Our process is designed to move from booking → survey → pack delivery with clarity at every step.
Get in touch via phone, email, or our contact form. We'll discuss your requirements and schedule a survey.
A surveyor visits the property and completes measurements and documentation.
We produce the agreed designs, calculations, and documentation for installer handoff.
You receive a technical survey and design pack ready for installation.
We’re there to capture the evidence your installer needs to design and install with confidence. Here’s what to expect, and how to help the visit run smoothly.
Tell us what you need and where the job is located. We’ll confirm scope, availability, and what’s included before booking.
Everything you need to know about our renewable energy survey and design services.
Pricing depends on property type, location, and scope. Request a quote for a tailored estimate—no obligation.
We aim for a 24‑hour turnaround for the pack in many cases. Timelines and scope are always confirmed when you book.
Tell us the postcode and we’ll confirm availability and lead time.
Our packs include measurements, structured notes, and extensive photo documentation. Depending on scope, we can also include floor plans, thermal imaging, video walkthroughs, and for solar surveys, drone imagery where appropriate.
We can provide system design documentation including roof and panel layout, string layouts, inverter/battery siting recommendations, schematics, and kit lists. Structural assessments are arranged separately where required.
Heat loss calculations are produced to the scope agreed at booking. Outputs include documented assumptions and inputs from the site pack.
